St Croix Avid 6'3 Ml-Xf Question

Featured Replies

Hey guys I recently got a good deal on a new rod the avid 6'3 ml-xf for 100 bucks new. I fish the New And Greenbrier river. I was wondering how this rod would be as a ned rig rod paired with pflueger supreme xt 30 size? Im trying to find some applications for this setup. And also I primarily chase smallmouth bass. Any advice will be greatly appreciated thanks.

I have two of this rod. I use it for drop shot, exclusively. Both have a Syradic CI4 2500 spooled with 6# Tatsu.

Small tubes and maybe light jerkbaits or shad raps.

Weightless flukes or small jigs. Would also be good on grubs and 4" worms.

Skippin', stay in the lure range.

Pointer 78s would be a choice for jerks

i use the same rod for jigging walleye. this is the first time i heard of ned rig. i want to try it for both bass & walleye :)

I have one, use it for panfish and light finesse apps.
