Good morning gentlemen, I have a question. I'm still very new to the bass scene, I'm trying to get all the information that I can before going out and purchasing another rod and reel combo.

So my question is, can you have a rod that can throw both spinnerbaits and swimbaits under 1/2oz? Would it be ideal? What type of set ups would you recommend?

If not, can you explain why? Thank you guys in advance.

I fish them on the same outfits . 6.5 foot med action rods .

Those baits can easily be thrown on the same rod. I'd use a 7' medium power fast action baitcaster.
