What is the best swimbait? Never fished swimbaits before, looking for one in bluegill or other sunfish colors, perch too. How do you rig these swimbaits too? Saw a video of these guys fishing them and it briefly showed them screwing it in to the hook. You cant rig these like a soft plastic? any reccomendations?

Take a look at the gambler ez swimmer in white lightning and redear. Great action an colors

Swim bait hooks with the screw lock gives them a better action thy can be texas rigged on a ewg hook tho

Sick Fish bream color.  Rig it on a weighted swimbait hook.

my vote is for the keitech fat swing impact on a 1/4oz swim jig 3/0 or 4/0 in black or sight fishing.  deadly.

Hudds sure are good baits

Keitech swing impact fat.  Gold flash color works good round here.

kicker slappers are good too, but not as durable as keitechs

There are so many sweet swim jigs to choose from it makes my head spin.  What has been awesome for me is the Gambler Ez swimmers like joedodge stated.  I will texas rig 'em.

Lewi brings up an excellent bait. The gambler ez has one of the best paddletail movements on the market. The magic happens when u slack the line.

RI Skinny Dippers for a wild paddle, only slight body wiggle.

Big EZ for a more pronounced lower body and paddle thump.

(Don't use the EZ Swimmer)

All are rigged with an 5/0 or 6/0 Owner twist lock 3/16 or 1/4 oz belly weighted hook. 7/0 when useing the Gambler Duz-It set up.

For colors my favorite is Houdini and Bull Frog for the Skinny Dipper,

June Bug and Forty-Niner for the Big EZ.

It's like asking what the best worm is.

A Mini Slammer, Hudd 68, and a Hard Gill would be a hard to beat start. You wouldn't need some outrageous custom outfit to cast them either.

Throw in a 6" BBZ-1 Trout, an S-Waver, 6" Savage Gear Line Thru 3D as well

Another mostly overlooked option is the 5" Sebile Soft Magic Swimmer. Slow roll this bad boy through a weed bed and it will get bit.

Swimbait has a different meaning to different people.  Do you mean Big baits like Huddlestons and Deps, or soft swimbaits like the Keitech or the Big-EZ?

Roman Made Negotiator. If the bait don't put you in the poor house. The setup needed to throw it will.
