Just realized the other day that I pitch with my left hand... I cast with my right. Just sayin'.

Good skill. You can use righty reels for pitching. I have to pitch with my right. I've unlearned just about everything but that. Can't do it any other way.

Pitching with my left hand is definitely something I want to learn this year.

I tried pitching/casting left handed once on a boat I worked on about 10yrs ago.  Needless to say it didn't work out to well when I lost grip on the rod and watched in sink into the depths off San Clemente Island.  Thank god it was a cheap rod and reel.  Have tried to learn to pitch lefty since then but it's not pretty AT ALL.

Since I was new to baitcasters last year and need to have the reel handle on the right for all rods pitching with my left was natural. Don't have to switch hands!

I had to learn to pitch with my left arm due to tennis elbow. I did it for 3 days straight and started to get pretty good at it.....now my right elbow is healed up and I pitch better with my left....it really doesn't take a lot of practice....just stick with it.

That's an interesting find.

Ambidexterity is a good thing, don't change a thing   :cool7:

I found it unnatural to pitch with my right when I started using my baitcaster a couple of months ago, so I switched to left and do that naturally now.

It truly is different for everyone. I started out pitching with my right and having to switch hands mid cast. (i still do for regular casting)

I will say that the coffee mug across the living room trick really does work. Took countless hours, but I learned how to pitch left handed in my dorm room with music or TV on and I would pick a tile on the floor down the hall.

Which side of the plate do you bat from?   Okay, spring training has me thinking baseball.

I'm hoping to be able to pitch left handed with some practice.  I don't think it will make much difference in numbers, but it sure will take a lot of wear and tear off my bum right shoulder.
