Looks like he's got the "flick and dip" technique down pat! Before long he'll be pouring his own custom jigs and showing dad how it's done!

I bought my 2 year old the same little pole and he pulled in a 3 pound channel cat!

 

I have been dreaming about framing a picture with his first fish, and he couldn't even pick the thing up! Kind of a bummer, but still a great time!

Lots of crappie guys use those dock demons for fishing from dock slips and give rave reviews. I played with it a lot this winter in the house fishing for the dog, it's a pretty impressive combo for $10.

My little cousin has one and I keep it at my house (he only fishes with me). I make sure to have it with me when I go to a certain trout creek with very low bridges crossing it, really nice to not have to slam the rod on the bottom of the bridge if you miss a trout.

HAHA. Just put some kvd fish sticks on a lure. Dog will tear it up.. a bit off topic but I left mine on the coffee table, still in package mind you and my dog had it for lunch. Fortunately shes still alive, had to go pick up another one cuz it must be good..
