As of right now, i only have 1 rod, and that is a baitcasting rod. I need to get myself a spinning rod, so i can do my lighter things like wacky rig, drop shot, lighter-t-rigs, and things like that, and i could go up to $100, but i would like to stay under fifty:) So i don't know what rod you would recommend. I have heard the Veritas spinning rods aren't good, and i really like ducketts to, but those are to high priced for me, so what would you recommend. 

The veritas spinning rods are good I would suggest one but I am bias to abu garcia rods. Funny thing to me no one never says why the veritas isn't good. I knkw the first batch quite a few broke but that's fixed I don't know the excuses now besides they are on the stuff side. A vertias 2.0 imo is made 10x better then the $100 duckett.

I have a Pflueger President combo and it's pretty awesome. I have it basically dedicated to tubes because I fish for smallies mostly. Most posts I've seen in a similar vein end up with a majority of President votes. Can get the combo for $70-$80.

Id get the *** with that budget.

I'd hate spending over $100. I'd hate spending over $70 to. Can you give me suggestions for a good rod under $70?

Keep an eye out for close out deals.  Especially on Tackle Warehouse they recently had Carrot Stix for $68 (I got two).   They always have great deals.  Be patient and watch, you might catch a break and get a $100 rod for $50. 

Good Lord, if you don't want to spend more than $50 on a rod, save half that amount and buy a Berkley Cherrywood.

 

It's as light, sensitive, and probably twice as durable as any rod in the under $100 market.

If it has to be at that price point I would go for the shimano clarus. I like this rod for its price. They did away with the lifetime warranty but is still an ok rod. I would buy a bps extreme while it's on sale for 79. I think it is great value when it's on sale.

For under 70$, look at a Fenwick. I believe they have a series called 'Eagle' that is relatively cheap.

Berkley Lightning, Berkley Lighting Shock, Abu Garcia Vengeance, Diawa Jupiter. All kinds of options. Just look.
