Mitchell 300Pro Spinning Reel

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any experience with this reel? I have been looking for a decent cheaper reel for a general purpose spinning combo that can handle drop shots, senkos, scroungers, and other finesse applications.

I would like to know if anyone has this reel or used this reel. Opinions or thoughts? Thanks!

I just recently got one so I haven't tested it too much but it should be good for all the techniques you mentioned. I've been using mine for weightless plastics and shakey heads and have no complaints.

I had one, and I  took it back. it wasn't smooth out of the box, (not a knock on Mitchell just wasn't), I didn't like the design of how the handle loosens when you turn it the other way, (I like either a nut to tighten down on the other side of the reel Just in case I accidentally turn the reel the wrong way. I am not much on spinning reels but that was a little bothersome to me. I went with a Pinnicale Matrix for 32 bucks on cleance at F&S. I was going to get a President but opted for the Pinnicale, havent used it much but it is pretty dang smooth for 30 bucks.
