Like the Dobyns Champion Extreme Rods. Carbon fiber visible under the reel seat, and extending about 6-8" up the blank after the reel seat.

Is that carbon fiber wrap, carbon fiber tubes? or just woven when the blank is created?

Does anyone know if the champion extreme blanks came from say... batson... or started out as like a Matrix blank?

Just looking for any and all info I can find out as far as how to create that look. It looks clean... no foregrip, carbon fiber extending out from under an anodized winding check.....nice,,,,,

It is a "Proprietary Graphite" and no one knows how it is done not even TT. You would have to contact Lamiglas® and ask them, and even then I doubt they will say.

Lamiglas does not have anything to do with building those rods.  They aren't even Lamiglas blanks.

I only stated that the blank was proprietary and that you would have to contact Lamiglas® and ask them, as Lamiglas® is the warranty shop for them they would have to know something about what the process is/was...

i wish there were a dealer in ohio., or somewhat close to ohio. I hate buying without holding it in my hand first. I'll probably build something with the look, yet use the components i like.. That'll hafta due for now.

Anyone know where i can get a matagi painted, fuji ACS seat? The catalogs and websites etc only show ECS.. but i know ACS is available because i've seen pics of a completed rod over on Tackletour that looked amazing. Or heck, it doesnt even have to be matagi.

Both Jann's Netcraft and mudhole have Fuji ACS seats.
