Occoquan Reservoir

Featured Replies

Anyone gotten out on the reservoir recently?Just got a new boat and for once in my life can travel farther than canoe distance from the David Ford bridge. What's working for y'all?

I'm new to the area and looking for spots to fish. I know you mentioned a boat but are there any decent areas to fish from the shore?

I've never bank fished bc I've always had a canoe or boat. I'd suggest Fountainhead or Bull Run for bank fishing

Anyone ever have any luck out here when it has rained really hard like this and the water looks like chocolate milk? Brother is coming in town and he would like to go out if possible. I know there will be a bunch of debris.

Look for the water that is clearing like the backs of some of the creeks. Bigger baits that move a lot of water, big blades in and around grass beds. Water has peaked and is dropping. Creature bait into the grass slowly hopped out should work!!
