Hello to all from the blackland prairie of central Texas.  I'm an old timer, recently getting back into fishing after a way too long a time off the water.  For better than ten years now my only fishing has been on a little pond (or tank as we call it around these parts) on my place where I catch (or try to) and release some nice bass from time to time.  I'm one lucky dude to have such a place to call my own.  But I just recently pulled the trigger on a cream-puff of a little bass rig - a '95 16' aluminum v-hull rigged for bass - so I can get back to some cherchez la bass on some of the lakes around these parts.  Last time I had a fishing rig was close to 30 years ago and I wonder how much has changed in the interim.  I reckon there are still some dumb bass that I can trick into hitting a bait, so here I am, lurking the forums and ready to hit the water.  All the best to one and all.
