Champion 733 Vs 734

Featured Replies

I am currently looking for a rod to accommodate underspins (3/8-1/2), swim jigs, buzzbaits, and spinnerbaits. Essentially a blade bate rod. I fish lakes like Lanier/Hartwell/Keowee mostly here in Goergia but also go to other lakes occasionaly that have grass like Eufaula and clarks hill. If i mainly fish deep clear water would the 733 be a better choice or will the 734 still handle the baits better?

Thanks

I use my 3-power Dobyns for weightless and lightly weighted plastics. For the techniques and weights you mention, the 734 is likely the better option.

734, no doubt

I have a 734 and love it.

734 for sure. It is the most versatile rod in the Dobyns line up. Only thing better than it is a 744  :wink3:

Just going to echo here, the 734 would be awesome.

I recently bought a Champion 734 especially for jigging and this rod rocks!!
