Exactly. I catch an 18lber and the servers for this forum would get overloaded with pictures. The newspaper would be called, I would have to buy new underwear, and fish and game would be called.... No

That's a good fish, no doubt.   I'm gonna get some popcorn though.....

Why's he all wet?

Did he jump in and catch it with his hands?

Looks like a degree of doubt on the forum. So now the BassFisherBoy needs to come forth with a lot more details. Or maybe his first line is a giveaway when he said:

"I know a guy . . ."

That's always a good one liner when someone starts to tell a tall tale -- :)

Ok, Just got the photo and info-

caught on 5' in. worm, LIGHT SPINNING ROD/REEl, around 5:00 pm

29 1/4' in. long, no girth-

area disclosed

GIANT

Where was it caught exactly? You said area is "disclosed" which means "to bring to view". So where are the other pictures???

If I caught an 18# bass I would have over 10 pics. Easily......

Popcorn anyone???

  • Super User

Well, Hmm, if that fish is truly 18.2, I will be very surprised. In other words, I ain't buying it!

A super duper fish, just not 18.2

Grampa Casey always said, "believe none of what you hear and half of what you see". I' am, however, gonna give this one the benefit of doubt on it....

CONGRATULATIONS!

Some of u guys need to give the benefit of the doubt.. even if its flub it entertainment..

Besides not everyone who catches somethin big behaves EXACTLY like you guys would..

If you are enrolled in the BigCatchProgram/TrophyCatchProgram, you would have saw this bass submitted a few years ago! here the link to it. Supposedly the "guy" he knows caught that bass years ago, not however long ago he claims! :tsk-tsk: This guy is a joke... wasted my time just clicking on it.

https://www.bigcatchflorida.com/search-catches.aspxGo to this link, and type in the section that says anglers name "Paul Melchert. then click on his catch.... exact same one!

Ding ding ding

He even had to make up the weight! LOL.(#18.2) The website says it was only 17lbs. Still nice fish but sad, sad, sad.

Just go back and read "bassfisherboy"s original post on this... he's acting like the "guy" he knows just sent him a text of this bass, and just took info of this sight! I'm getting a laugh out of this. Lets see what he says when we message him. He obviously hasn't replied to his post since we figured it out.

What do i say... sorry :sad-012:

Honesty will gain you more friends and reputation than any tall tale my friend. When you are honest, people may not always like what they hear, but they can't ever fault you.

Learn from it and grow. Stick around too, great group of guys here with unlimited knowledge.

What do i say... sorry :sad-012:

You don't need to make up stories to get our attention or approval dude. We are all nice guys here.

I am a little glad you made this post though, I did get a few laughs out of it.

You made a few of the Professional BassResource trophy bass photo inspectors look a little foolish! "Not even close to 18, 13ish. "

Thornback, you have elected to unfollow the item #18 Bass.

If you unfollow, you will no longer receive notifcations when this item is updated.

.

I'm outta here! It was fun for a while.
