Awesome, work. What kind of action does it have in the water?

Awesome job!

That is very realistic.

i intended it for more of a sight fishing bait for bedding bass, so i made it so it sits sharply nose up.

i'm not sure if it will have any "action" at all, it will be more of a jigging bed bait.

but who knows, i've been suprised at the retrieving action of several of my baits.

That is one realistic looking bait, Dave.  Very nice work.  I like how you did the hook.  Did you just drill a hole in the back and then epoxy it in?  I must know what those fins are made of too.  Oh and one more thing...  where did you find the photo for the finish?  Can you guess, I kind of want to copy your bait.  ;D

thanks guys!

the hook is a jig hook epoxied into the back of the bait, i got the picture from another lure builder, and the fins are an experimental design that i came up with (i've never seen them made like this before) and i'm not ready to reveal them yet. maybe after some hard testing, but not yet.

i just gave it a few test pulls in my aquarium and it has a wobbling action when retrieved. its a slow wobble, not the most realistic, but good to know that this bait has more than one use.

Nice. ;)

That is a nice looking bait.  You will ahve to let us know how it works for you.

Don't be surprised if that thing gets swallowed when you drop it in a bed.  A five pound female will inhale that bait.

Great job on the photofinish! It looks really nice.

That image looks like the same one I use.  We probably got it from the same place.

Dave,

The bait looks beautiful.

I do want to read how the fins held up when you fished it and after you catch a bass.

Let us know after you give it a try.  ;)

That's nuts!

It looks like you caught that fish, burried a hook into it, and then dipped the whole thing into epoxy!

Nice job!!
