Preference: Bps Pro Qualifier Vs. Abu Garcia Orra

Anyone have first hand knowledge of these two reels and preference?  Both $99 at BPS, both have high customer ratings, maybe I can't go wrong with either.  I have a BPS gift card I want to use.   Would be using on a 7 foot Medium Fast rod primarily for spinner baits.

I can only speak to the PQ.  It goes on sale quite often for $80 so if you decide to go in that direction it might pay to wait.  Regarding the reel itself - it's a nice reel - available in lots of gear ratios in both RH and LH. A good, durable, work-horse of a reel.

You can eventually wear-out a PQ...but it takes a while...

BPS Pro Qualifier BC Reel - 5 Year Challenge - Complete

Just got to 2 trips in the last 2 weeks with my PQ....very pleased with it's performance! I use 6:4.1 specifically for spinnerbaits & chatterbaits. No issues & no birdnests! Spooled with 12# fluorocarbon. Don't own an Orra but considering the reveiws 900 to 150, I think you have a good idea :)

If Abu had different handle knobs on their reels I'd like them a lot more. I don't own either, so I won't be much help, but I never hear people brag about the Orra. It's quite the opposite with the PQ.

My PQs have never let me down. Just a yearly cleaning and they will last a long time. The best 100 dollar and under reel around, unless you can find the Tatula or a Citica E at that price. The Orra is a good real but not as good as the PQ.

PQ I have 4 of them and they perform very well.

I noticed the PQ is quite heavy though at almost 9 ounces.  How does it fit in your palm?  That can off set some weight if its easy to handle...

I have both the orra inshore and a pq, I like the orra better, it's$150 at Bps but only $100 at Walmart.com.
