  1. Great price at $58.88! You won't be disappointed at all ! I have a 7' M/F spinning & this rod has been abused for years! It's a good all around rod & covers a lot of applications for 1/8"-3/4" rating. She'll be abused for several more
  2. I have to agree with Oklahoma Mike. I'm not dropping $200 on a rod with aluminum oxide guides. Just my opinion though! I feel you have better options in the market for that price range as well Good luck KyBassin16
  3. I have several Lews baitcasters & I've had zero issues with any of them! Can I tell you how many hours or days I've used them? "NO" but I can tell you I use them a lot! I would recommend them to any 1 If one of my LFS took a crap ( which they haven't) I would just go and purchase another one for $100 or just wait till the end of the year and purchase a better one like a Tournament Pro for $119! I have Cabelas, Bass Pro Shop, Gander Mountain, Janns Netcraft at my disposal all with in 20 min drive! Lucky Me or Not $$$
  4. 703C....704C....733C....734C will do the trick. Which everyone in this thread suggested all of those rods! My local Dobyns dealer said the 735C was their top seller for flippng & pitching & punching! If you every wanted to increase your weight on your applications that rod would have you covered with no problem!
  5. Just wanted to chime in! The 40% off on the Mojo's are the SCII blanks. SCIII are $120. Great rod for that price! When they went on sale in Dundee, MI Cabela's they sold out of them with in a days! Don't wait to long or you'll be sorry I have both models & i'm very pleased with both. Honestly, you can't tell the difference in the 15% weight decrease but a little more sensitivity in the SCIII blank IMO! You won't be disappointed for $80!
  6. 2x Road Warrior advice....Medium/Fast rod with a decent real If you enjoy upgrade in the future!
  7. Abu MH/F ! You'll be able to cover some of those techniques better with that rod than the KVD which sounds like a crankbait rod!
  8. The bottom line comes down to "Personal Preference!" There's no right or wrong on ratios on reels! Honestly, the fish will tell you how fast they want the baits to be presented! IMO....I think the pros use them specifically to cover a lot of water regardless of the bait their throwing minus flipping & pitching! No bites....Slow it down
  9. It's the Lews Lazer Combo! I'm sure it's a decent combo for the money but the Lews LFS & MGs are a lot better reels than the Lazer! I have 2 MGs for my crankbaits 5.4:1 & 5.6:1 ratios. I like them a lot! I have a LFS 7.5:1 for flipping & pitching. I'm just a big Lews fan!
  10. Berkley Lightning Rod. Nice rod for $40.00!
  11. Villian - 3 year warranty.....Sellus - 1 year warranty! Bass Pro Shop has the Villians mark down to $79.99 1st Generation not the 2.0. Plus for $9.95 a free hoodie sweatshirt from Abu. Pretty much the $89 but you get a free sweatshirt
  12. I just bought (2) Dobyns Fury 705CB which is design specifically for crankbaits (CB)! The only one they make in the Fury line. Plus it has Moderate/Fast taper for treble hook applications! I would probably go with the 733C for crankbaiting because it's a 3 power which gives you a little more play in the rod & Veritas for plastics! Sorry I'm not a Abu fan so I really can't comment on their products! IMO, it's what works for you on the water! Good luck though
  13. "HMG" or the "Fury".....IMO the "Fury" but both rods are back by a great warranty! Bucco & Mojo- 5 year
  14. With that price range you have a lot of choices too choose from Josh. I'm not a big Shimano rod fan because of their warranty specifically! I'm sure their very nice rods but if your going to spend that much money for your investment (rod) than I would lean towards a very good warranty as well. There's a lot of rod companys in that price range that backup their products way better than Shimano. It's personal preference honestly but I agree with some of the comments in here that there are better rods for that price! Good Luck on the shopping
  15. That's funny you recommended Berkley Lightning Shock! I just bought my girlfriend the 6'6' M/F paired with 6930 President! She likes it a lot I thought about the 7' but it was little to much. Nice combo though!
  16. They had the whole line of Ike's rods at Bass Pro Shop (OH) last week for the Rod-N-Reel trade-in special! Honestly, I was pretty impress with his rods! I didn't buy any but I will say they are definitely lighter than the Veritas line of rods IMO... I did buy a 7' M/F "Villain" for $79
  17. Good choice! That should be a perfect setup! Should be getting my 703C & 705CB this weekend This weather in MI & OH is for the birds!
