My uncle called me and asked to go down to tallahasee to go redfishing with him and of course I never pass up a good fishing trip so I told him alright and went down there today, I barely ever get to go saltwater fishing so I really try to get the most out of these trip, we caught a lot of redfish and even got some catfish, jacks, trout, and mackerel! Caught a pretty big 24.5" redfish and my uncle caught a 28" most of them came on shrimp but some came on artificials. It's a blast catching reds on spinning rods hearing that drag screaming!

Ummmmm I can't remember the name for the life of me but I do know we were near Tallahassee and we put in by a lighthouse..... All of them came off rock piles in pretty shallow water.

Gotcha. ....I know where you were. Well good on ya man- its been super tough like I said! Did you end up getting any on topwater?

Nope... I tried getting one on topwater early but I gave up, only lures I caught them on was a gulp shrimp on a popping cork and jig head and a zoom fluke on a jig head.

Sweet!   I take a trip to fish inshore saltwater every 3 or 4 years and the Reds are the reason.  If I lived near a bay I would have to make it a common occurrence.

Nice looking redfish.   We don't get reds down here very often, I need to drive 100+ miles to find them.  Inshore species have been very spotty around here, one of the worst snook years I've had.  I've seen a few big ones caught, just not on my rod.........lol.

Not crying with a loaf of bread under my arm, still catching some good fish.  Doing well with barracuda  and jacks which are 2 of my favorites.
