Lures For Night Fishing

Rolo and Raul the buzzbait has been a goto for me for years. I use squeaky non clacker buzzers. I fish them as slow as I can while keeping them on top and buzzing. I want a methodical retrieve. No variance in speeds. And lastly I fish them parallel to the shore lines. Usually about 2-5ft from shore as long as its a couple feet deep. I rarely get bit casting outwards into the lake. Try these tips and you might change your mind about buzzers

I know Matt, but I swear buzzbaits don't work for me, I'm a stubborn hard headed sob and heck, it's even become a personal goal to catch more fish with buzzbaits. What in my opinion happens with the Sputerbuzz is that is has a floating "crankbait" body, so I can reel it in steadily at very low speed unlike the buzzbait that needs a faster retrieve, besides you can pause and the bait is going to stay there.

Big dark colored jig or bladed jig. About the only 2 baits I fish after dark anymore.
