New Angler From Tulsa, Ok

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm new here, and pretty new to bass fishing. I've only been trying it for the past six months or so (helped heavily by the bass resource youtube channel). I grew up in the heart of the Ozarks hiking and floating, but never really fishing. I've wanted to try my hand at bass fishing for the last 7 years or so, but work and other obligations always seemed to get in the way. My wife and I are now in the process of adopting little ones, and we decided it's now-or-never for us to try out the hobbies we've both been curious about.

We moved to Tulsa back in October for work. I produce newscasts at the local CBS station.

I've tried my hand at several of the lakes in Eastern Oklahoma with most of what I have caught being nothing to write home about. Though, I did land a decent 15-inch-or-so largemouth a few weeks ago, and the excitement from that seemed to be enough validation for me that I needed to dedicate to this hobby more of my free time.

Please forgive me if I sometimes ask questions that seem silly, I really am about as green as can be when it comes to bass fishing. I'll try to use the search tool more often than not to avoid those embarrassing moments.
