Anyone Purchase From Saitaya Fishing Tackle On Ebay?

Featured Replies

Looking to purchase my first Metanium. I would like to purchase from Japan Lure shop, but they don't accept paypal credit (used to be bill me later), so I was on ebay and Saitaya Fishing tackle had Metaniums that were priced pretty similarly as JLS. Anybody purchased from this place before?

I've never purchased from them, but they have almost 900 positive reviews and only 3 "neutral" reviews (0 negative.) I would guess that they are a safe bet.

While looking through their stock just now, I found a spinning reel that I'd like to get (Shimano Biomaster 2500.) I might order it through them, if I can't find it for a better price elsewhere. I've ordered quite a bit of tackle from Japan over eBay, and I've never had a negative experience. Shipping is usually pretty quick too.

I would think I would be safe, but sometimes when someone has no negative reviews on ebay, and all reviews are that positive, I kind of get leery

Why????

Can you still see the feedback  on the people that have left feedback for the seller?

As long as they don't all have just a few themselves it would probably be ok.

But if you are looking for something that one of the BassResource sponsors carry....buy from them....you know you're safe with them!

When in doubt punt!  For fifty bucks why worry, buy from a dealer you know for peace of mind. Dealer service counts too.... Ask Mike at DVT if he can get you the reel and what the price will be.

I'm only leery because I've been ripped off by a few sellers on there who had perfect reviews in the past, no bad ones, later to find out there profiles were fake, the reviews were fake and lost a few hundred $ in the whole process

Woo, That sinks. I've been taken buy a buyer who received the item I shipped. He robbed parts and then immediately filed a PP complaint.

Naturally I lost.. parts and money.

Just a thought here.. Give Adam or Brian a call at American legacy Fishing. If they don't have it they can get it. They may be able to help you if Mike can't.

Ebay holds their retailers to very high standards and keeps them on a short leash. Not to mention the customer feedback helps keep them accountable for shipping speed and customer service. I order from overseas all the time through eBay and never had any problems.

I broke another fishing rod last Friday. I hate when that happens. So anybody recommend a place to buy a new one ?
