What's your fave? Pound Test#? Is it suitable for using with T-rigs if you use a leader?

I have been using Fireline on spinning with no leaders, but not anything like 50#. I love the roundness of it. They don't make 50#. But I'm thinking 30# would suffice on a BC reel for frogs since I don't fish many places with a ton of slop. Just lilies, mostly.

The recent thread hating on Vanish has me thinking I ought to trash it. It's very old anyway.

Hard to beat sunline fx2 in 50# test. It's round and handles and casts very well. It is an 8 carrier braid also. For the price, it cant be beat.

The only braid I have thrown, and have had 0 problems with for many years is Power Pro. I throw 40lb for medium to light cover and 50lb for heavy cover.

I'd go up to 50 for frogs. Pads can be tough to get them out of at times.

I use Seaguar Smackdown. 65# for frogs, 30# for jigs and t-rigged plastics, and 10# for my dropshot setup.

I've been using 40 lb pp for years, don't remember the last time i broke off.

Also use for jigs and t/rig plastics with good results, most times no leader.

50# Original Power Pro.

Have used as low as 30# in a pinch and never had a problem.

I may not be doing this right but im using 30 lb power pro on my frog setup with no issues. In fact i drug half a tree to the bank the other day, had to cut the line because i couldnt reach the frog from where ibwas and the 30 lb wouldnt break.

50lb..............Power Pro, or Spiderwire Stealth. Which ever one is on sale or in stock when I go to Walmart. These lines are pretty much identical, and I have no issues with either. For years I used Stealth exclusively, then for the last 5 years Power Pro almost exclusively, then this year, I have a mix of both and can't tell the difference.
