Jim,

Are you going with a Rod Geeks blank for that Tube Rod?

You really have to stop soon.  You are causing me to want to spend more money than I should.  I had talked myself out of the need for a ban saw and lathe.  Not so much anymore.  Watching this thread unfold is like a fishing crack addiction...  And I can't "Just say NO"...

Lathe first.  There's a lot you can do with that before you need to get a bandsaw!  I was doing elliptical inlays in cork with my miter saw for years.  Biggest reason for the bandsaw was EVA.  the miter saw didn't like the EVA.

My first elliptical using miter saw.

I know it's not bandsaw related, I just didn't want to start a new thread for one pic.

I made it a little bigger than the pattern. It just seemed too small. It feels good in hand.

That's awesome

I'm not a fly fisherman but with that rod I could be. Looks great Scott & Steve.

Dwight, are you getting anything special done to your rod (i.e., signiture Scott Handle design, ornate decal, etc.)?

He is getting a grip like the pink border collie rodgeeks but with the light and dark flopped.
