Michigan is my home for the next three or four weeks. I tell you what. You get some super strange looks for swimming in Lake Michigan when the air temperature is 68 degrees. Even stranger when you draw your words and the locals caint understand what you are saying. I find slowing down and over pronunciation seem to remedy this though. I swear some of these Yankees have never seen a southerner before.

Important Side Note.

DO NOT grab a northern pike by the lip to remove the hook. Those fish got some evil teeth. Not sure whether the same rule applies to walleye or not. Hopefully I will find out shortly.

Honestly wasn't thinking about it. Never caught one before. We don't have them down south. I also may have been told that they won't latch down on your finger. Least it wasn't a musky. Thanks for the heads up on the walleye too.

After a couple of years I picked up that drawl, now I sounded like an idiot spewing out those ridiculous y'awls.  Once I got back to civilization attending the Univ. Of Mich, my speech returned back to normalcy........happy days here again.

I moved from Indianapolis to KY for two years.  After I caught myself saying "You-ins" and "Yumpto", I moved back home.

Glad you're ok, a buddy of mine needed stitches after being bitten by a pike. Walleye don't hurt as much, but they will draw blood easily. Have fun in Michigan!
