The symetre is a good reel but the Pflueger President for 60 bucks cannot be beat and is arguably better than a Symetre.

    But the Simano Sahara matches the color on the Fenwick Bass Elite rod best ;)

    Maybe not the older symetres with the aluminum frames. Now that shimano has cheapened them up with graphite frames and replaced the main drive gear bearing with a plastic bushing the president is a much better reel for close to half the price.

    H2O Express Motive carbon

    This looks like an interesting reel - the 3000 weighs in at 7.4 ounces and Academy Sports has it on sale for $69.  Anyone had one long enough to know how they perform?  -Fry

    I have one, its amazing. One of the top 3 reels ive ever used. Its so light and smooth. And the drag is nuts, around 20lbs
