I'm still using 18# to fluoro leader on a couple spinning rods.  Having a leader eliminates nearly the fraying and longetivity problems for me.

Good to hear.

I used a leader with it on both spinning & casting gear.

Something near 15 -20 feet.

I was unable to duplicate the same results.

A-Jay gave his excellent in-depth review which prompted me to go ahead, bite the bullet and try Gliss for myself. While my review probably won't be as thorough, and I'm probably not fishing the same w

I used Gliss Several years ago when it first came out. I used it in the 18# & 24# test for several months on a couple of reels. I had the same fraying issues as A-Jay. The one really nice thing I liked about it was it got a DD22 down to 22'. It is the only line I have had do that. Once it started to fray I broke it with my hands.

I've exhausted my 17# Nanofil and went to 18# Gliss.  I can see some slight fraying only after 1 outing.  Question:

I love the casting distance of 18# Gliss, am I going to lose much going to 40# Gliss?

Am I wrong that as Gliss frays, its casting distance will deteriorate?

How many outings usually before fraying causes you guys to replace the line?

I scanned.  Float or sink?

NVM, after 1 outing 18# Gliss was starting to fray and this morning I lost 4 lures on breakoffs after my leader was lost on the first break.

Going to have to goto 40# can't afford to lose lures like that.
