screwed up a good paintjob that i was really liking....

lessons learned:

prime (i even had the primer, too lazy to put it on such a small bait)

wait longer before taping

live and learn (oh well, i get to sand this off and re-do it; more practice :))

Are you using water based paints?

If so, just heat set and forget about waiting for it to dry. Many thing coats are better than thick ones.

yep, using waterbased acrylic Wildlife Colors. i did heat set my repaint of this.

so do you heat set in between coats or just after the entire thing is painted?

I heatset every coat except for the finest of dustings.
