Baitcaster $160 Or Less

Featured Replies

I'm looking to buy a new rod for about 150-160 or less. I want a medium heavy with like a fast action in like 6'6-7'0 somewhere in there. What is your guys opinions? I also like the split grips but it doesn't matter too much

I would buy a Daiwa Tatula 6'10" MH/F

I have heard good things about the Okuma rods from online reviews. I also know four or five local fisherman who have bought them and speak highly of them.

You have so many choices your head is going to spin.. Welcome to the what the hell should I buy club!

Your best bet, if possible, is to go into retailers and try out rods in person and pick what you like best.

Almost every rod company is going to make a rod in that range that you described. Maybe help narrow it down a little by telling us if you have a particular use you're buying it for or if you have a company you like/have in mind.
