60 deg wide gap hooks

Featured Replies

Do you guys know if Mustad makes these?  I've looked on their site  but cant find them.

I'm looking for their ultra points in 4/0.

All I can find is Gamakatsu's.  If I have too I'll buy those.

Thanks

Mustad is a little cheaper, if I am not mistaken.  That is all the incentive that would get me to buy them...  Gamakatu is expensive, when there are alternatives out there, at a fraction of the cost...  Why spend more?!  It just means you get to fish less...

G I have not seen this hook listed. Before you buy any new ones try slightly dending a few of your 28° hooks and see if they will work. I do that when I want an EWG hook with an Arke head. It has worked every time for me and I don't even have to heat the hooks.

Mustad does make a really good flat eye wide gap hook. I use them in my football jigs. They are the 38109. I know that probably doesn't work for you, but I would choose Mustad over Gamakatsu 7 days a week and twice on Sundays. Just a better quality hook, but thats my opinion.

Thanks guys.  I prefer Mustads  better hook for the money imo.

I'll try bending a few and see what else I can come up with.  Those 45s might fit.

I know for a fact that the 38109 fit without bending the hooks. I use them all the time.
