U Tail Worms

Featured Replies

How do you guys fish a U-Tail zoom worms?

I picked some up watermelon colored in hopes small bass in my neighbors pond will bite. Do you recommend a jig set up for small bass?

Thanks

I have never used one but if I had a pack I would tex rig them .

1/0 Hook & 1/8 oz bullet weight

They work. I've fished them for years.

Like the guy's said above, small bullet, texas rigged worm hook, you may want to dip the tail in some chartreuse spike-it. They are prone to tear up on you but they will catch fish.

I got them on sale for 3 dollars, when im spending 6 bucks on zoom trick worms, the tearing is ok.

I like them on a 2/0 Owner ultrahead finesse ball-head, 1/16 or 1/8 oz. Just sorta hop them around slowly.

I fish them a lot. I prefer a 2/0 gamakatsu round bend hook with the lightest weight possible. I usually go with a 1/8 sinker. I like the darker colors such as black and red/shad but there are days that watermelon Is hard to beat. That being said don't get too hung up on color. Pick a few and fish them.

The greatest thing about a tx rig Is you can fish It anywhere. If you choose to throw deeper than 8 feet I would go with a heavier sinker.
