Rebuilding a dry rotted transum is a major task! Cutting out the inboard fiberglass, replacing the 1 1/2" marine plywood, making gusset brackets to tie into the bottom stringers, reglassing everything to increase strength to prevent chine walk, flat planeing surface etc....been there, done that....never again!

Good luck with your project.

Tom
