Help I am having Reel trouble

Featured Replies

At the end of the season, I bought a Lew's combo on sale. After using for a month or two the line guide on the front of the reel is stuck all the way to the right. It was going to cost like 90 to get it all shipped and fixed. Was wondering if anyone knew a reel mech who could do it for cheaper! ( or knew how I can fix it myself)

Contact lews! They have awesome customer service!  They may just send you a new reel.

Or take a straight slot screwdriver and tight the cap on the line guide could be loose .

Like Max says, but the reason it may be jammed is that because the cap is loose the pawl jammed.  Be sure the pawl is engaged in the worm slot before tightening.

My service fee for members here is <$20 ($22-10%) shipping about $6 each way and parts $10 +/-. Email or pm me and I'll see if I can help you correct it yourself.
