help getting started making my own lures

Featured Replies

I am interested in painting my own crankbaits.  I always had a knack for painting in school, so I figured I would give it a try.  Can someone point me in a good direction to get started buying some equipment?  I am looking for crankbaits of all sizes with a bill and that is it, unpainted.  I want to put my own hooks on and paint them myself.  I need to get pointed in a direction to buy the paint to.

+1 on Jann's.  They cost a little more than Barlow's on some things, but they ship super fast, and the website is MUCH easier to navigate.

You need to check out Tackleunderground.com . The absolute best source for info and techniques in a forum.

I just bought a airbrush but I don't know how to use it..And I don't have time.. Something is wrong with it I think though......But I have a compressor and everything.
