That's been there for a while methinks. I drove over there anyway. Saw a couple Crucials for around 80 each too. Guess everyone cleaned out the Wright and McGills, and the other great deals.

Those are those Rick Clunn rods.    I've looked at those.   I think you paid about what those were worth.  The ones I saw were too heavy and too "whippy" for me to be interested in them.   I hope you use them and like them.

I would think one of the clerks, or the department manager, just wanted to get rid of them and did not care about their actual retail value.

You are not alone. I am always trolling for this kind of "come up" but can never hit the "jackpot". The closest I have come so far is Lucky Crafts for Ten bucks a pop. Meh... I still cleared out most of the pegs. Haha.

I got one of those rods on clearance a while back (NOT FOR $5!) I wish I would have gotten the squarebill rod.  Those should make really nice cranking rods.  Nice find!

Way to go man, great find!

Nope.  I never hit them either.  Of course the DSG store near me seldom has those kind of deals.  Plus they don't carry a lot of fishing gear other stores do.  They did have some Curado reels at a good price a couple years ago, but tomustang didn't leave any for me. 

Nice find bro, all my dsg's has is some big bite baits on clearance.
