Are you finding better success with the 4" VS the 5" ?

Yes!I haven't fished much with the 5"s though because the 4 is so good.Where I fish they like anything with watermelon red or seed.

I had a friend get some 5 inch and they fished a numbers lake for 2 hours and didn't catch ONE.I fish the same lake with 4s and often catch 20 in a few hours.Most are small but there's some good fish mixed in.

Interesting. I have been using GYCB a lot over the past 5 plus years. In fact, a 5" GYCB watermelon creme wacky rigged on a gamgatsku octopus or circle hook is always tied on and as much as I love power fishing, this is my go to bait. Hundreds of hours using all senkos. My experience is with the size difference is what anyone could expect. More bites for the 4 inch but much more dinks. I don't know how florida fishes, but up here when the bite is tough or in cold water I use the 4", spring and fall the 5", then dead of the summer use the 6". This gives me the opportunity to not only get the skunk off the boat- but also get a good size. If your only concerned with numbers than stay with the 4" year round. Just my 2 cents. 

I agree with you.I had used senkos before but wasn't very confident in them so I didn't catch much.I had a friend that sold for a soft plastic bait co.and he gave me several bags of 5 and 6 inch senkos with different colors.I would just use them occasionally and got moderate results.At the time my hot bait was zoom super flukes but I had some June bug 6 inch senkos and I began to use them at dusk and the bass would nail them while I was reeling in.So I now always carry some in my arsenal of baits.Most of the fish that hit the bigger senkos were toads too.I have similar results with horny toads and z-hogs in the summer.Anyway,I have another friend who likes the smaller senkos and that's how I started on them.We fished my lake and I got 10 on flukes and he got 9 on the 4 inch senkos (gm) and I found a new go to bait.But I get a fish over 3 with them  occasionally.

I use the 5" most of the time but I actually really like the 7" Yamamoto Senko a lot.

I had a couple of wild days this summer throwing the big 7" Senkos T-rigged, weightless, into the lily pads!

I like using the 3" on a 1/16oz jig head the same way a ned rig is fished, then the 4" is for split shot or wacky rigs and then 5" for T-rigging. I don't use the larger ones anymore as the 5" just catches fish and it gets all sizes, the 6" seemed to get better fish but it also didn't draw as many strikes.

I love the big ones fished like a fluke or spook over grassy areas when fish are active. Rarely get small bites. If you get the glide just right, it is awesome to see a fish come up and just grab it & vanish while your line starts to move...I fish all sizes on different set ups. You can make a senko work in any situation. 

try the bass pro shops stik o's they are much cheaper come in all colors and sizes and are MUCH MORE DURABLE!!!!!!!! Yamamoto senkos last me about 1 fish 2 if I'm lucky even when i use the rubber bands around them to don't hook. They are too stiff and tend to break easily STIK O 4 LYFE

I've been shortening the 5s down to 4 and they last longer.I caught 7 the other day on 2 ysenkos doing this.But I'll try the sticos too.Thanks.
