river2sea spittin wa

I have fished it.

It seems like the main thing they to try to sell you are the holes in the cupped lip that make a 'bubble trail' I don't know how much that improves catch rate if at all. To be honest I never even noticed any difference compared to other popping frogs. Also since frogs are mainly fished over thick vegetation how often do they think you're really going to be making bubbles over slop/mats/pads?

What I like about it is that its -very- watertight. Does not sink at all and I've never had any leaking issues to speak of. Its a very durable frog and made of a much thicker-feeling plastic than any other brand of frogs I own.

What I don't like about it is that there isn't much gap between the hook points and the body so I have missed quite a few fish on it. The added durability and thickness of the plastic also means it's not as soft as other frogs and lowering its hookup ratio in the process.

I prefer the poppin' pad crasher, but overall its a pretty good frog. If a pike ever gets a hold of one of my frogs, this is the one I'd want tied on the end of my line.

gave it a full season of frogging try. Did not like it at all.

It's a great frog.

I think it all depends on how you fish it.  On lillys or on open water, both ways will produce fish.
I do find that they don't take in water like most frogs on the market.

I like them in light cover, and often I find that if I concentrate on working them slowly and softly (The design makes me want to chug it and make it pop) but I have had days where I couldn't get bit, and then I would slowly and softly walk it (It walks really well) and it starts getting demolished...

I like the fact that it is durable and not too soft, and I like the Spittin wa simply for a few colors that I just like, but I also like the Booyah Pad crusher which also works really well...Can't say one is better than the other but it is a quality frog for the money...They make some colors that I really like which are unique..

It is my current favorite frog and I've fished a lot of frogs. In contrast to what others are saying, I find all the R2S frogs are softer than most and I like that.

I bend the hooks outward a little to help with the hook sets, and sometimes I add a little weight to the back to get it to 'pop up' like a lengthier frog would. I've had a handful of misses on it, but I think that goes for 99% of frog applications anyways.

Last year I fished the SPro, the Jackall Iobee, the Livetarget (bullfrog) and the Snag Proof (Ish model I think) and none of them had the action or versatility that the R2S had, in my opinion.

The Spittin Wa is a good all-around frog for sparse to moderate cover/mats - but in really thick/dense stuff, I would lean towards something a little heavier to give more presence - the R2S is on the lighter side, even in the larger size.

My best frog strikes are when the bait starts by making a racket (which this frog is excellent at), then (like primetime said) work it back with a slow walking retreive.

I would recommend it, good luck!

I can't stand it.

I bought a couple of them last year to try. I don't think I used it enough to give it a definitive yay or nay. I did catch a few fish on it, but I wasn't as big of fan of how hard the body was. I feel like I may have missed some fish because of it. It definitely didn't overtake the Pad Crashers I have in my box though.
