BPS has this reel at a decent price so I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on this. Anyone have experience with this model? The reviews seem to be mostly positive but I'd like some comments from folks that actually own this reel. Also any line recommendations you might have? Will be primarily used as a pond bassin reel using crankbaits,plastics,spinnerbaits.

I guess it really doesn't matter they  are both good reels.

I have both and I am a big fan of both. Great values for what you get. The baitcasting version casts well and is smooth. It has a slightly strange frame shape to it. It isn't long/wide like shimanos are but its not rounded quite like some Lews and Abus, its somewhere between. Still pretty comfortable to fish with but kinda sits strangely on some of my rods with certain reel seats.

I've used the spinning reel for a few years now, it's a good, solid reel. I know it's not the same reel, but I have faith in the company from having a reel. So I'd recommend it, especially if it is at a good price.

nice reel for the price and better than the abu orra's IMO.  Amazon has them for ~$83

I have yet to own a Pfluegar reel I didn't like. I have the Supreme XT baitcasting reel and really like it. 

Good replies and thanks. I hadn't even thought of Amazon. That's $16 cheaper than BPS if I can get it for free shipping.

I may have to fish with Bluebasser86 some day as he and I have similar styles and likes. The Supreme is a solid reel as I own a spinning reel and I have 2 XT casting reels, everything Pflueger has been a solid performer. The only reason I got the XT over the regular Pflueger Supreme is because of weight, the XT is 6.5oz and the Supreme is 7.8oz and I'm so use to the lighter reels that I had to go for light weight.

I own 5 Pfluegers 3 spins & 2 baitcasters. Great reels for the money hands down! I had an issue with one of my spinning Supreme's. I sent it back to Pflueger for evaluation & repair (warranty)! Instead of fixing my last years "30" model, they sent me this years new model no questions ask just a brand new reel in the box Not only great reels but awesome customer service that backs up their product as well!

Sounds like I'm getting a new Pflueger!
