Trolling Motor Mount SI Fishfinder

Featured Replies

Is it possible to mount your transducer to your trolling motor then turn it to view other area?

Example: Trolling at slow speed (1-2mph) then turn it side way when stopped or slow and view the other 2 side? Would the Fishfinder be able to scan after you have turned the TM so you can see what's ahead and don't spook the fish.

You can do that when sitting still so it acts like the 360 transducer. Takes some practice to get usable images.

Imaging has to scan, so you cannot just turn the motor 90 degrees and leave it that way.

Correct - you'd have to continuously turn the trolling motor to make it useful.

I've run SI off my trolling motor for years...it works fine...but I won't be putting it on my new trolling motor as I can do all I need to do with Humminbird 360°.
