anyone else feel like the guy who plays Negan just does not come across as intimidating? He's not scary or creepy at all.

Aside from the violence, which they could have had anyone do, he just does not fit in like a tough guy at all. Not compelling.

I did like him in"magic city", but he was still soft in that show.

He isnt supposed to be a "tough guy". Read the comic descrptions of him. He was cast perfectly.

I liked the way the Negan character is played. I haven't read the comics but when someone online references it I look up what they are talking about.

He's plays the part well enough, but I can't wait till Rick kills him

sorry, dont read comics. And him not supposed to be a tough guy is irrelevant to my post. Like many other things.

Honestly I thought that was what made him such a great villain. It feels like he is able to separate brutal killing from any emotion and that was what I found so disturbing about the whole scene. It seems like all the other "bad guys" on the show that killed were either angry, or somewhat insane. He just seems like a normal guy.

I think Jeffrey Dean Morgan is perfect for the part after seeing the season premiere.  I wasn't sold on him at the end of last season, but now I think he is perfect.  He gets his point across in his own way, way more terrifying than just being a huge brute that likes to kill.  He toys with Rick and his group in a way that makes them more terrified than if he simply just killed a couple of them.

Crazy episode... Going to be a crazy season..

Some people were theorizing that Daryl might be next to go since Glenn's death was somewhat his fault because Negan only did it because of Daryl's outburst after Negan killed Abraham. Some were saying Daryl could kill himself due to guilt (I doubt this one), or that they wanted to get some people to dislike Daryl a little bit to set it up later on.

Totally agree.  The way Negan was so calm and matter-of-fact about the whole thing was really unsettling.  My only disappointment was that he stopped Rick from chopping Carl's arm off.  That would have been CRAZY!!!!!!

I actually found that part the hardest to watch, Rick's actor did an amazing job there.

Yup, "edge of your seat" intense.  All of us were yelling at the TV "Do it!  Do it!  Do it!"

That was definitely an intense episode. I never thought they would kill off 2 characters on the season premiere. Honestly after looking at the comics online I thought Rick was gonna cut his own hand off.

They really did a great job of utilizing the comics to mess with the viewer during that episode. They kill off Abraham and everyone is thinking to themselves "oh great! They didn't stay true to the comics and Glenn can live"....and then they throw a curveball and kill him anyways. I thought that was great (not in the sense that I wanted Glenn dead), since everyone had kind of prepared themselves going into the season for ONE of the characters to die. And then when Negan is about to make Rick cut off Carl's arm and Rick offers himself instead it makes you think that might be the moment he does lose his hand.

Episodes have been hit and miss after the Premier... Still look forward to the rest of the season.. Going to get crazier...
