A while ago at Lake Otay in SD County there was a 14 pound bass that was caught. Anybody catch anything near this or more?

There was a 16 lb bass caught in CA earlier this year.

My buddy caught this one last year from shore out of a smaller pond in south georgia. 14lb-8oz.

Only 8 pounds?! d**n, I would believe it of ya told me it was 20! That thing is huge!

A fishing buddy of mine pulled a 11.6 pounder out of a small gravel pit last year.  I'd post a pic, but he swore me to secrecy of the location.  That same gravel pit has since produced several bass between five and ten pounds to us, which is huge for Indiana (home of the country's worst bass fishing).

Dwight, maybe it is the way he is holding it but that fish looks like a mutant.  I'm amazed it could swim with that gut.  :)

Nothing like water to lift a buoyant gut! :)

I speak from experience, LOL...though,
admittedly, my gut isn't quite as big as that
hawg's. Close...
