Dee Thomas fished 2 tournaments this weekend on the Delta and won Saturady with 29 lbs plus big bass at over 9 lbs, then placed 4th Sunday during a 2nd event.

What is amazing Dee is pushing 80 and his health isn't good.

I guess you all don't remember who Dee Thomas is, ever heard of flipping? Dee is in the Fishing Hall of Fame for introducing flipping presentation to modern bass fishing tournaments and winning several BASS events.

When I mentioned his health isn't good, he is on oxygen with COPD, phenomenal feat to beat top bass pro's on the Delta.

Thanks for sharing WRB! If I'm not mistaken, Dee was very influential in Gary Kleins carer and as you said above he Introduced the flipping technique to the world of bass fishing!

I know of Dee Thomas and Dave Glebe .

My guess is that Richard Petty will un-retire and win a cup race, and George H.W. Bush will get the surprise republican presidential nominee in Cleveland at the convention.

That's awesome, I saw a video of him fishing with an oxygen tank and a handicap rail in the boat.  I hope I can still do it when I get to that age

Whit, you're right on about Dee being Gary Klein's mentor. 

As a side note about Flippin'.  The term Flippin was coined by Dee Thomas  because he was sponsored by Ranger Bass Boats of Flippin, Arkansas.
