I'm seriously thinking of purchasing the Avid X 69MLXF and plan on using # 15 PP Super Slick 8 with a #8lb. flouro leader and was curious as how the knot will come through the micro guides? I wouldn't think it would be an issue with this small diameter of line but would like to hear some feedback from fellow anglers.

I use braid on all but one of my spinning rods and have no problems with the knot going through any guides. 

I have a 70MF and 70MHF AvidX in casting rods.  Ran a double uni knot on 50lb PP to 15 pound AbrazX though the MHF and it went through the guides no problem.  I was hesitant at first, but never noticed an damage to the knot or wear on the guides.

 

You should be fine as long as you don't tie some huge knot.
