Anyone out there still using these?   I found one in good shape in an old tackle box but can't remember ever using it.  So my question is how do y'all fish it?  Are you using like a wake bait or a regular jerk bait?

Its a good topwater for fishing stripers. We throw them at night on smith mountain lake when the stripers are feeding shallow.

I just picked one up a couple weeks ago to use as a wakebait. However, I know a few guys that are addicted to throwing the 4 and 5 inchers as jerk baits (smokey joe or gold). Just because they came out a long time ago doesn't mean they don't still catch fish. Give them a shot!

It's a wake bait for sure. Fish it very slowly across the surface so it leaves a "V". Flat calm days usually seem to be the best time to fish them for me. 

Wake bait.. Change the back hook with a feathered treble.. and 3 or 4 suspend dots on the belly right in front of where its jointed and use a snap..

I have a couple of 5" and they work. I found that they seem to be at their best in the mid fall, when the water temp dips into the low 60s to upper 50s. The crankbait style wake baits seem to work all year for me, the only time they down is when the water is cold and I tend to use the Red Fin in the mid fall as the fish seem to prefer the minnow profile over the more rounded crankbait type.
