The 7 foot medium heavy ethos has a lure rating of 1/4-3/4. It seems like most medium heavy rods have a 3/8-1 oz range. Does this mean the ethos is more like a medium than a medium heavy? Thanks.

    Most mh ive seen come in 1/4-5/8. Which is pretty close to that. Medium actions for me are 1/2 max

    I have that exact rod and yes, it fishes more like a medium than medium heavy. I use mine for fishing lipless baits and it does that very well.
