Homemade lure retriever

Featured Replies

I'm wanting to make a homemade lure retriever. I already have a 24' telescoping painters pole, but I need to find the spiral tip to put on it. It would be nice to have one that screwed on, but even if it doesn't that would be fine. Anyone know where to find one??

Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~

Can't help you with your spiral tip search.  Perhaps stop by the Introduction Forum and share some of your particulars: the who, what, where, when & how of Gloomis51.

Find one? no,..but you can make one from a cheapo 9 inch paint roller

Use a screw in yard stake that's made for tying dogs up out side

My dad uses a telescoping golf ball retriever. Works about as good as anything.

Get a galvanized bucket handle and wrap it around a large bolt.  Tap it around with a hammer to make the tight bend.  Put one end in your pole and wedge it with a screw.

See mine in the background:
