I recently picked up a new Shimano Chronarch ci4+ for one hell of deal. Now i just need to find a rod to use with it. Let me start by saying that I already have a crankbait set up ( E6x cranking rod with a team lews lite reel) and a jig/trig set up (Loomis IMX Jig and worm rod with a revo stx), as well as a medium No.*** blackout spinning rod with a revo STX reel for finesse presentations. . I'm looking to use this chronarch for shakey head and basically all other applications that I don't have covered with the above mentioned rods and reels. Right now, my rod in mind is a loomis e6X magnum bass 7' medium heavy, but i am open to recommendations. Right now the budget is set at $200. Thanks in advance.

I'd take a look at the St. Croix Avid or Avid X 68mxf.  It's good rod for topwater, jerkbaits, and weightless worms.  I've never used it for shakeyheads, but it should be fine.  I think the 68mxf is one of the best rods St. Croix has ever made in all of their models.   

The ex6 mbr843 is also a great rod, but I prefer it for heavier weights.  I primarily use that rod for spinner baits, and t-rigs.  I'm not sure it would be that great for shakeyheads.

I have a 7' Falcon Bucoo micro guide pared with that reel. It is light, sensitive and fantastic. $109 at BP

A bit higher than $200 but one of the MH Orochi XX rods that were posted up in the For Sale forum would rock.

The Shimano Zodias was meant for that reel!.  I have a Chronarch on the 6'10 mh.  Match made in heaven.

What I would recommend.  Zodias just has the it factor in that price range.

Well. my wife and I love G Loomis rods and fish 6 of them.  But before you go pull that trigger, check out the Irod Genesis II rods.  I fish several of them as well.  So based on "doing everything else" as your intended purpose and the E6 rod you picked, I would look at an Irod Genisis II IRG744C.  It will run you about $155.00.  Irod makes two series, the other is more expensive and it is called the Air series.  All of their Irods have very light sensitive blanks, eva handles and fish really true to their ratings.  That rod is 7'4" long and is rates as MH with a fast tip.  The lure rating is 1/4 to 3/4. It is defined as their most versatile rod, excelling at top waters, carolina rigs, spinnerbaits, jigs, pitchin and big worms.  I would think it might handle some frogging or toads in a pinch as well. In my mind it will handle all of your other needs except for shakeyheads.  I would use your spinning rod for the shakey heads.  I use a G Loomis 7 foot   ML IMX for that application.  It just seems the lite weight jighead you use fall under finesse fishing for me.  My 7 foot Loomis spinning rod handles shakeyheads, weightless sencos, and drop shotting. I have al three of my Chronarchs on BPS 7' MH Carbonlites and could not ask for a better set up.  And I got the rods on sale with $20 off.  I fish plastics, spinnerbaits and swim baits with them.

I would definitely recommend the Zodias or an Avid over an E6X, and I own at least one of each.
