I just got a screaming deal on a bunch of line through ospreys. I have the gear and I have caught fish on swimbaits. I usually use hudds, mattlures and bull shads. I am just curious as to any pointers you might have. The line through design places the treble on the bottom so I am assuming the bait is designed to be fished a bit faster to keep it off the bottom? Thanks for any input!

I fish them basically the same places I'd fish a spinnerbait. Over and around grass are my favorites places to fish them. Along docks, through trees, around laydowns, across points, any likely fish holding area really. You do fish them faster than a Hudd because of their tendency to snag if they contact the bottom or a piece of cover.

That sounds a little large but I'm not real familiar with the size of the Osprey baits. Seems like I remember them being a fairly thin bait. I would think a #1 would work but if the 1/0 doesn't look awkward then go for it.

Looks about right. Same hooks I butch brown rig my hudds with. I will run em and see how it goes. 

7" finback or flat back Osprey? The finback is thinner and swims a lot like a Hudd, the flat back is wider and has tail wobble type of action. Sometimes Ospreys need the tail end stretched*  to improve a slower speed swimming action.

1/0 treble isn't too big For a flat back, size 1 for the finback IMO.
