I love using Keitechs swimbaits but the durability is terrible and I run out of them quickly. They have great action and I catch a lot of fish on them but its hard to buy them when you may only get one fish on a lure before it breaks. What swimbaits do yall use? and whats a good swimbait that has good action and decent durability?

Take a look at the Big Bite Bait Cane Thumpers. I haven't used the smaller model yet, but the bigger version is tied on one of my rods almost year round. They have a nice swimming action and with a belly weighted hook will last for multiple fish.

The new Jackall Rythm waves are fantastic. Same great tail action at any speed, however the body is more robust and not as squishy. A little more flat and wide it has a really nice roll to it. I was able to use one bait for several hours with multiple hook ups, plus it didn't want to slide down the shank of the hook. I'll continue purchase these, and they are a little heavier than the equivalent size Keitech. High recommend.

When it comes to swim baits I suck it up and stick to keitech personally. I've never had anythung that works quite as well as they do.

Depending on your lake's conditions, you can rig the bait on a jighead and make a cut in the bait from its back, through the belly. I'f you've never seen or heard of this, it may be difficult to understand without actually seeing it.

With a razor blade, or very sharp knife, make a cut in the bait about a half inch long, near where the hook will come out of the baits back. This cut should go right the the belly of the bait too. You will rig the bait onto the jig head and the hook should be hanging out of its back. The jig head, and the head of the bait is the only thing securing the bait, but that's a good thing! This allows the bait to move around the hook a little bit when you're fighting a fish, thus keeping the bait intact for dozen of fish.

I have done this for years while striped bass fishing throughout the winters and springs in New England. I have caught more than a dozen fish on one single bait before. You can do this with just about any bait. I am trying to figure out a way to do this on a swimbait/worm hook. Good luck!

x2 on the Mend-It. Forget the price, it will literally pay for itself in a trip or two.

The crazy flapper swims pretty well

If you can fish them on open hooks, then the Zman Minnowz last more or less forever, but I have never gotten them to work well rigged weedless.

BPS Speed Shads. I can't tell any difference between them in the water.

Also, in case you'd like to weed out the dinks the Speed Shads come in a much larger size. The pic is the biggest Speed Shad vs. the largest fat impact.

I throw all Keitech's. The impact fat and easy shiners are killer when I'm out. I've heard the new Jackall and Strike King swim baits were pretty good. I'll have to give them a try and compare them to Keitech's.

Like senkos, every brand makes a swing impact fat now. Like senkos, often copied never duplicated. If you want the same performance and success you gotta pay to play. We are only talking a few bucks anyway. Suggestion - check eBay for discounted large lots. I've purchased cases of senkos for 10¢ on the dollar before.

Oh yeah and use a swimbait hook which you do traditional Texas rig rather than twist look which rip up quick. Stick a tooth pick through bait and through hook eye, clip ends and it'll keep that bait snugger longer

Fld & strm has keitech on sale buy 1 get 1 50% off until july 16

Super glue the bait to the head and you will get many more fish per bait. Loc-tite gel control is what was recommended to me and it works well.

Zman Diesel MinnowZ or the regular MinnowZ. Glue one to the head and you'll be catching fish with the same bait all day.
