Hello all, recently stumbled on to this site so I figured I'd hang out for a bit.

Im 36, from Iowa, and have been fishing probably as long as I've been able to walk. My best largemouth came at 11 years old (6.4) and I'm starting to figure out the odds of me beating 11 year old me aren't looking very good.

My interests are waterfowl hunting, fishing, craft beer and watching my 8 year old playing sports.

Feel free to blast the noob. I'm no stranger to message boards.

Welcome!! I can second Glenn's statement. He and his crew do an outstanding job of moderating. I don't believe you'll find anyone blasting you for your thoughts or opinions, not for long anyway :wink3:. You may find that through some tips or advice given on this site, your chances of beating 11 year old you have increased dramatically! Contribute, share, ENJOY!

Well, you don't say how old you were when you learned to walk, but obviously before you were 11....

Looks like you've found your passion!

And I certainly understand your concern about trying to beat your 11 year old self's bass! But you still have some time. BTW, the largest bass I've ever SEEN (not one I caught, mind you) was just over 6 pounds. Ever SEEN.

Tight lines!
