Strike King 10xd Good/Bad

Featured Replies

First time running this crank today in a club tournament. The good: my partner caught the big bass using this lure (5.04 lbs). The bad: I unpackaged 4 new 10xd cranks and only 1 ran true.

I know I can adjust but if they say tank tested on the box they better run true!

I have found the same thing on many new crankbaits. Right out of the package they need to be adjusted. Its a shame especially for the price you pay for baits these days.

Very true. If you watch the SK history video with footage of their production line, those baits go from painting to packaging.

They ought to tank test them and then package them as left or right runners .  Then convince bass fisherman that they need both .

Very clever. Just don't say it too loud or SK might hear you.

Haha, I wouldn't be surprised if this became a thing with lure companies at some point.
