That day it worked for me: caught a small spotted bass.  Was the only fish I caught that day.  I fish pretty shallow spots and like that they float slowly.  They give off a tremendous amount of flash.  This was in the heat of the Georgia summer.  I see them being more effective as the weather cools and they can be worked like a regular jerkbait.

You can only claim HALF a record.

This may not be the record, but it is definitely a smallmouth. The curious thing is, this bass is 1 year old!  It was caught this spring in Northern Wisconsin, before the spawn which means it was born last year! Talk about slow growth rates!

That's half of a 2" grub on a 1/80 oz jighead this little LMB hit, so I'm guessing around 2.5-3"?
