What do you use to clean your boat?

(fiberglass)

You spend many hours on the lake and before storing the boat until next time, what product to people use to remove the grime?

Also, what do people use in their livewells? I know mine are starting to get funky.

I use a bathroom cleaner with bleach for the skum line.I use a general purpose cleaner for the interior fiberglass.I use a polish that has teflon in it.

ive heard bassboatsaver is great for the scumlines

I keep a few microfiber towels on the boat and dry it down and rub off any scum before leaving the parking lot.  It only takes a few minutes but the boat stays looking new.

That's the best way.Amen davo!

Ranger sells a concentrated boat wash.  Works like a charm.  I also like to follow up with a wax.  I, right now, am using the wax that Ranger sells and markets.  It is a one step wax.  I have a friend that uses a product called Restore.  This seems to do a nice job restoring the shine and finish for his boat.  Good luck!

As mentioned above, use a wax with Teflon in it.  I get it from West Marine.  It's a bit pricey, about 10 bucks a bottle, but well worth it.  It helps prevent scum from sticking to the hull.  Also, wipe it down at the ramp before it has a chance to dry.  As far as the live wells, I just wrinse mine out with fresh water and leave it open to air out.  I've always been afraid to put any kind of detergent in there for fear that it will harm the fish.
